Tom - a brave man. I'm thankfully way past that but can still feel your pain. There is quite a job to be done there! The gap with the A-panel is standard I would say. None of the parts of a Mini really fit. You just fudge all about and add bits till they do. I had to add a strip to both wings.

All the very best

Hugh

thanks mate i have noticed that so far from doing the rear quarter and scuttle and you have to tack in place and mess around but i dont mind doing it i am at a learning stage and i would prefer to learn this way rather then being to easy. if that makes sense.. cheers tom

Not as good as penetrating fluid but might aswell if you haven't got any to hand to be honest :)

When you go to take them out just ease them back and forth about 1/4 of a turn each time, spraying fluid in each time and screwing the bolt fully in again after a few turns so the fluid gets in and clears the thread, might seem like a big fuss over such a small detail but its much nicer to do this method then drilling and re-tapping the threads out haha

Yeah thats what you'l have to do if they shear im afraid, unless you buy new mounting points but even then thats boring because you have to cut the old ones out, prep the surfaces, line the shocker mounts u with the bolts bolted in whilst you tack the mounting platees in.......................sooooo just easyer to take your time aye :proud:

Looking good tom.

Not much of that city shell left now! Looks really nice and solid though and a good base for your resto.

Good luck with it.

Ben
