lol cheers mate i am going to fetch some rear quarters in the morning and if i get enough time i am going to get the drivers rear quater tacked in place and then i will move on to the drivers door post with then the door step is that the way you would do it pal?

The rear 1/4 sits over the top of the door step. I just did these jobs on mine. I did 'A' post, door step then rear 1/4 in that order.

cheers matey sounds like a good plan did you fit the door in place to while you was doing the door step and etc?

Good progress so far mate.

On another matter, what are you plans for the rest of the donor shell? If you are scrapping it, would you be willing to cut a few small bits off of it for me and post them to me? If so perhaps you could PM me and ill let you know what I need and you can give me a price.

Cheers

Ben

Best coating would be some etch primer and a slap of any old paint to coat that.

Does look in very good nick underneither that rusty looking white paint

Yup, grey primer would be ok. Perhaps not the best but better than nothing.

I use grey primer from the pound shop to cover any bare metal on mine for now and it holds up fine. Mind you I have it in a garage so don't know what it would be like outside!! But like you, ill be removing all that primer before painting.

Yes its a good idea to loosely fit the door to make sure you get the step in the right place.
