Think the Newton covers are pretty good, but not cheap. unfortunately I haven't done much on mine last few weeks just not had the spare time. Will get on with it in the new year

As for your seats you may find some better ones if you put a wanted add on mk1 forum

Looking great Tom. FYI you have the numbers on your spark plug leads in the wrong order. Number one is at the thermostat end. It shouldn't be a problem as long as they're in the right order and you check the timing from number one cylinder..

I literally spent the *cough* entire day at work *cough* reading this from the first post.

Stunning job Tom. Fair play for having a stab at it in your garage and learning as you go on, you're an inspiration!

Best of luck with the new family.

This has to be my favorite thread of all time. Congratulations on the amazing turnaround!

When Im wondering what to do on mine next, I always default to your build to get ideas.

Way back on the build how were you getting down to bare metal in the upper bulkhead? Wire wheel or paint stripper disc?
Ive tried both methods, but I cant get the results you guys seem to get!

Have you tried one of the wire cup attachments for the grinder?

Hello everyone has been a very long time 6 years project came to a stop my work kicked of and have two beutifull children what are a handful. I still have this mini had sat in a dry stored heated garage ever since and now this summer I will be getting it out and getting it finished. What a lovely car! Superb work.

One very small detail which you will likely discover for yourself when fitting the radiator........you have the fan blade fitted back to front.  ;D
