I currently have Cobra 'recliners' like these: http://minispares-on...=21&prod_id=714 but they're awkward to get people in the back. My interior is mainly black so what do you have/recommend? Not wanting to spend a fortune but I may sell mine to put towards. Pictures preferable!

Ultra-Rare Full Black Leather SPI seats with Cooper Logos.

I will fit new base diaphragms, as you can see the drivers one has collapsed a little. Expected really though.

I'm currently running MG ZR seats in mine but have a set of Alpha GTV seats to go in shortly for more support. I've fitted universal runners to them that allows about 9" of movement forward / rear which makes rear access a doddle. Might be worth considering if you like the seats?

If you're looking for the practicality of access to the rear seats, then MPi seats are a good choice as unlike earlier classic mini seats, they have folding rear back rests. Meaning you can gain access to the rear seats with out having to lift and tip the entire seat forward.

Mpi seats are easily distinguishable from spi seats in that the release handle on Mpi seats is on the outer edge of the seat back, whereas on Spi seats it's on the inner edge. (ignore the pic of my Mpi seats as an example though, as I've actually swapped the back rests across with each other so that the release handles are in the wrong place!! :shifty:)

Alternatives from a different car are a good move, they're usually cheaper than new buckets, and if you get a set slim enough to pass the rear bins, are far comfier - no more 'mini ankle' aha :)

Cobra classics, they are rubbish for getting passengers in the back but I dont like taking any more than one person so works well for my needs, plus they look the dogs danglies and are uber comfy

I really like those. Did you have to make a custom subframe for them?

So long as you're a skinny ass, that is!!

... If however you have love handles, or are even remotely chubby, then make sure you always have your mobile phone handy, with the fire service on speed dial, so that they can come and cut your ass out, when you inevitably get stuck in them!!

Check out this Link, i show you how i built up the subframe. Essentially it's a cobra seat subframe (for a mini) with two extra strips of metal across each end, to reach the edges of the Recaros

Iain.
