And to think people restore cars on a budget scrimping together whatever they can to make a car perfect, junk like this which has been attacked with paint stripper and irrelevant things bolted to it gets featured in magazines

We feature both though.
I don't think Sam's intention was to get a magazine feature, just to try something new. I wouldn't build a rat look Mini myself but I like what he's done with this one.

In my opinion what's been done to death is contrasting coloured roofs, bonnet stripes and an overdose of tacky chrome.... Yawn!!

I really like what he has done to his - love the 50's pin up stuff inside too, defo gives it a retro theme (I think this is on the headliner if I remember).

Edit: obviously he doesn't care though, which is good because he is happy with it and yes alot of effort, but looks silly IMO
