if you have the heater in the screen position and its not heating then simply follow the black pipes from the sides of the heaters up behind your dash, they sometimes have a tendancy of coming loose in my experience and just heating up your dash!

Cable tie or a few self tappers will stop that from ever happening :-)

or sealing all the joints with duct tape

Because lets face it, with a Mini you should always carry around some duct tape and a screwdriver! if it cant be fixed with those two tools, you've really broken something! haha

I go for the Jeremy Clarkson approach and carry a selection of hammers too.

How either of you can ever expect to fix anything on a classic mini without a can of WD40 as well, I have no idea!! >_<

We should have a thread for a basic Mini toolkit. :proud:
In a modern car I would quite happily drive round with just a spare wheel and jack, but in a Mini its handy to have a set of spanners, a hammer, tape, WD40 etc.

... no hot air came out !

This is a standard factory feature! :D

Hot air is an optional extra ... !

( ... a cheaper way would be to get Mini-Mad-Craig to sit in your passenger seat and continue his waffling ... )

( ... However, then you would have to put up with Craig ... )

We already did that. I seem to remember that the general consensus was that I seem to carry around more stuff in my mini, than most mini owners have in their entire garage!! O_O

Have I been very lucky then, three of my own minis & one borrowed from a girlfriend, heaters have always worked fine.

Apart from when I bought my 1st one & we didn't know they'd reversed the direction the knob works between 84 and 88. That was one cold journey until we RTFM'd!
