Do I need to get the old tyres off before giving them to scrap man

You won't get much for alloys any way, purely because, they don't weigh a-lot.
We scrapped a door from a Corsa C a while back and got £2. So I wouldn't expect alot more for a 4 Alloy wheels that probably weigh less!

I took alias of scrap down a good few months ago and was fine scrap men don't give a flying asking as they get what they want

Mind you, that was Dagenham. I'm pretty sure they'll take what they're given down there.
We got cash in hand, for all of £2. Did get me a nice Ice cream though.

I'ts around £1.30 a kilo over here
Its not pure aluminium.
Hence why its called an Alloy wheel. As it's aluminium alloy.

i wayed my vauxhall corsa c shell in and i was expecting around £100
they put the money threw the box and give me £45.00
So £2 for a doors not bad going then
