Alright guys just bought a set of 7x13's and i would like the tyres to look quite stretched, I have been told 165/55/13 would be ideal.. any ideas or opinions?

Its a mini, they like to corner. Stick with proper sized tyres

its very dangerous, its not strictly illegal but I can imagine you would get pulled for it a lot. it has been know for side walls to split from this which is generaly not good.

Slight stretch like 10x7 isnt too bad as theres not choice of tyres
But extreme stretch is dangerous and as first poster said minis like to corner unless its a show car i wouldnt be stretching them too much

As pointed out already its dangerious but when the beads are pulled outwards onto the rim the centre of the tyre takes on a concave shape in the carcass this affects tread wear in the centre and handling so gives the impression the tyre is under inflated when in face its not, and the outer sholders wear faster than the centre.

The op was asking what size tyres would look stretched. Nobody here knows what he will be using the car for so why is the question not being answered? He didn't ask for a safety brief or any other information

See if there's any 10's on tyrestrech.com they usually show pictures of tyres on the rim and then fitted to cars

165 55 13 is absolutely fine on a 7x13 wheel, it's the standard tire size used on the Fiat Cinquecento wheels. There will be a slight visible stretch over 175s but the size is still within fitting restrictions. Here's an example:

There are a lot of options if that is what you want to do. Personally I preffer a fat set of A042's on a mini, I leave the stretch for my other car.

if you want stupid stretch 145/60

The only 10 is a 12" wide wheel with 225's on it :P

13x7's with 145 60's on them: http://tyrestretch.com/7_145_60_R13/
13x7's with 155 65's: http://tyrestretch.com/7_155_65_R13/

Many more combinations if you mooch through them. Just use the search for r13 or go to the whole selection and use CTRL+F and type in.

Thanks for the posts guys! And safety briefing haha, think i will be going for the 155 in the end as it is not ridiculous stretch just looks lush. Will get some pictures up when my wheels arrive, also slamming my car today ready for the dish, stretch and camber ( what a combo!)

<p>stretching can be great for getting that extra clearance on a low car but only go as wide as you need to... it looks well on the march above but the pic of extreme stretching looks a bit much. the last mini i had on the road had a small stretch on bridgestone potenza's and it looked well at normal ride height, just can't remember what size they were
