Ok so wanted to bring my MPI's ICE into the 21st century, and I opted for the rather slick looking parrot asteroid classic.
Haven't seen one of these in a mini before, so here we go...
Doddle to fit, with ISO connectors, and I think it looks much better than most of the 'alien' style head units.
The in-built amp is impressive for one so small, the quality through even the standard Rover speakers is a revelation IMO compared to the old cassette unit.
The Bluetooth streaming function is pretty seamless, once you have connected everything up.
The clickwheel can be a bit frustrating at times.
Voice control is sometimes a bit disobedient, but then again, show me a system which is perfect!
Other thing is handsfree function automatically reroutes to front speakers, trouble is I only have rears so convos are a little one way at the moment!
I enclose some photos of the install, enjoy :)

Looks good in your car!
I have a similar dash, so Maybes if I get one it'll go the same way for me!
Do you have the standard speakers in or have you installed your own?

Was looking at some reviews and saw one post that said the unit was no longer supported by Parrot and they are no longer releasing Firmware updates. Has anybody seen any thing to support this idea?
Also where did you route your microphone, and I'd you have to buy all the other cables separately? Ie the antenna and USB cable?

Let us know how you get on with the unit and if you experience any bugs that the other reviewers are referring to.

Thanks, glad you like!
Hopefully will fit for you too, as it is a standard din fit, was very easy here!
Yup Standard speakers, sounding a lot better via this than before, but might consider swapping them out. Trying to keep as standard as possible though as the car is so original.

^^ Really hope that isn't true! I contacted them to try and solve my phone problem and they said they were preparing software update 2.0 but wouldn't include a fix, so hopefully they are still going...

All cables came with it :D very straightforward installation
Only one I had to change was the iphone one, as the one supplied was the really old ipod type which couldn't charge my phone. I also gave it an ipad mini cable.
Microphone went down through the bulkhead to the right of the heater, and then up and fixed to the top of the steering wheel column, fits well there

so far haven't had many issues: it takes a while to warm up (about a minute) but that doesn't really bother me, also it didn't come with keys, they are a £14 option.
No bugs so far :)
