Not much you can do that is as nasty as a head injury so take it easy. The Van can wait!

well my heads now fully fuctioning again..well as close as it ever gets :D

still really not happy with the paint work..really could do with someone who knows about paint to come have a look and tell me where i'm going wrong..

anyway took a little break from the paint to start the engine rebuild...new thrust washers/clutch plate and a few other bits and we're starting to get somewhere..

DSCF7787_zps9fca01b4.jpg

main problem engine wise to sort out is the cylinder head..had 2 studs snap off on the strip down..and today the stud extracter snapped off in one of them >_<

any recomend some good drill bits? cause the ones i've got don't want to touch it..ohh and what size tap do i need for the themersat housing?

after looking at Sal's thread decided i needed a bit of yellow

You broke a stud extractor or easy out off in the head? I think you're looking at a trip to the machine shop now. They are hard as hell and a ******* to get out. Might have to be EDM removed.

WP_20140608_002_zps1b0e45c3.jpg

got another rocker arm assembly which looks pretty good and all the bits move though i'm gonna strip it down check the bushes and maybe fit a new shaft..even found a start button :D

was also looking for some tyres when i found these...

tyres look like new..and they cost me less than a set of 4 tyres ;D

not really much in the way of visable progress...still wishing the paint fairies would come finish the paint off for me  but they never do :mmkay:

thought it was going well today had the rear doors rubbed down to a stage i was finally happy with them..put the first coat of clear on..still happy..nearly done

with the second coat when my compressor packed up >_< clear coat just dribbling out of the gun..and we know what happens when you put the paint on to thick..

WP_20140621_005_zps20cb1909.jpg

this... >_<

on to other news the engine is pretty much done now...for the second time had to open her up again after managing to drop the dizzy drive shaft inside

the engine :shy:  have to wonder at times should i really be allowed to play with these things :D

DSCF7792_zpsea482e7a.jpg

and now i have another mini to play with  this is Frank the mayfair who wants to be a clubman(so my daughter tells me) it belongs to my daughter but we can guess who'll be doing the work...
