I'm aiming to have the floor painted by the May bank hols as I've got a 4 day weekend to get it on the floor.
Then worry about getting the body painted somehow over the next 2 and a half months.

Time for a bit of an update being as theres actually some progress you can see..i have been working on getting the paint right but theres no point posting
pics of the same door being painted over and over again..anyhow finally gettting the paint to look a bit more like it..
hopefully gonna get the van back on it wheels by the weekend and get on the outside painted..
new ball joints fitted..
being as i'm doing it on my own i went for fitting the subframe and then building it on the car..an hour or so and a whole lot of swearing later i'd managed to get all 8 bolts in all was well in my little world right up till the last 2 bolts on the radius arm brackets..had to be the 2 that are inside the subframe that broke off so off came the subframe couldn't get anything in the hole to hold them so plan b came into force...angle grinder
just big enough to weld the nuts back on..
no one will ever know
got it on again and the brake and fuel pipes are on(only on plastic clips) though i'm still waiting for my metal p clips to turn up..
now if i can just find the box with the castle nuts in i can finish off the back end tomorrow...

Not a nice one to find after you put the subframe on,I always fit mine fully built up with the Mini on axle stands.I use a piece of 3x2 timber underneath the subframe and balance it on a trolley jack and wheel it under the Mini.Once it is up near the Mini it is easy enough to get into position.Having said that it took 2 hours to get the bolts into my Clubman Estate last month.
