Wow i like that brass hinge colour haha, i a were you id polish it up, repair it and mount it on a wall

 

Hoping to get my doors re-skinned once i,ve bought some M-machine door repairs for the lower section

 

Making fast progress, wish i was at you stage as always haha

thanks..i want to try and get all the bodywork/paint done before it gets to cold and damp..then the plan is to get the rebuild done over the winter and hopefully get it up together enough for an mot in the new year..then finshing touches as and when after that..

Can't believe it's been nearly 3 months since i last updated this...sadly not much has changed it that time..what with work and the weather i

 

failed to get the paint sorted on the underneath so couldn't really do a lot..besides it's been to dam cold out there lol

 

Thought i'd make a start on the engine and gearbox so i went looking for all the bits..found the gearbox in the shed with a mouse nest in it!!!

 

so that put pay to my idea of giving it a quick clean out so now i have gearbox bits covering my workbench in..the box it's self has

 

come up quite clean but the parts need a bit more work..only thing is i'm not to sure about the bearings being as the main shaft moves

 

about 1mm either way sideways...

So that's what a bench full of gearbox looks like! Sure you'll remember where it all goes back Minbin ;)

 

Good work on the doors though, I'm dreading getting back onto trying to get mine to fit.

Little bit of an update..not really to much to show as i'm really strugling with this painting lark might be the cheap little compressor..the gun or more likely

 

it's just me being useless but i just can't seem to get a decent flow of paint going..

 

anywho the gearbox is nearly done just gotta order the right gasget for the diff cover and we're done..wasn't as bad as i thought it was gonna be

 

 

 

have got a few coats on nearly everything now but it's just so rough it's taking forever to get it flat

I am still aiming to have it done for IMM but as time goes on i'm thinking more that it'll be a "work in progress" if i do manage to make the show..
