Hi Lewis, how's it going? Has my motor collapsed into heap of rust?? I need some advice:
Red dot cones or mini spares genuine?
Sub frame mounts- poly or original rubbers???
It's not a track car so I want the ride firm but just comfortable!

So not sure when these bits will be needed in the build. I've got some rims now 12x6 with 3 Et offsett and a neg camber kit.
Speak soon
Dipesh

Sorry for the delay in updating this guys, been hectic the last week or so!

Dipesh -

I'd go for genuine cones and poly mounts

Jntabbycat -

Your shell is well under way being repaired, we will need the sunroof frame soon as the roof is all floppy without it lol

I'll get updated pics of all cars tonight :)

Do you do partial restos shell/prepwork?

Will you travel to quote?

Can you spray in Celulose rather than 2 pack?

We do all kinds of work from just welding jobs, to full rebuilds and resprays, can't see a problem with painting with cellulose, but will double check with our paint guy.

We can travel to quote, but it depends how far away you are!

Some pics of progress lately

Heal board/rear floor being repaired

Repair panel i made up

In place ready to be welded in

Construction.mini your car needs more welding as sand blasting around the seams has revealed more holes that were hidden by filler, especially the n/s front corner of the roof! I'll get pics of that friday, but here's a pic of it in the blasting room

0C9CA780-C5DA-482B-9308-2227871B6DDE-217

The clubby estate we have in has gone from a "finish a near finished project" to a full rebuild, as the previous resto was a bodge job, tons of filler and brazed panels mean its all gotta be redone!

The black one is nearly finished, just waiting on the finishing parts

Also had a mk1 shell dropped off today, which is a full ground up resto (but it will be on the back burner for a while as other cars need finishing 1st)

It's not too bad, but in a very awkward place, but we'll get it sorted, hopefully we'll make it before your deadline, have you spoke to paul regarding the rest of the parts needed for the build up?

Once the holes that have shown themselves have been repaired, the front end will need its finishing prep, then it'll be in primer, so I'd get ordering the last bits you need mate, as once it's painted, it will go together very quickly :)
