No problems mate, there is 1 thing we have noticed about your car though, the wheels you supplied us with (black 13") have the wrong offset for a mini, they will sit too far in the arches and will most likely foul the suspension/inner arches, from the look of them i would of said they were for a metro or similar, I'll put 1 on the rear subframe you supplied and take a pic to show you what I mean.

Dipesh, hopefully we'll be starting yours soon, got a couple of cars in the process of being finished off 1st though, but as soon as we start, I'll let you know mate :)

The Belgian mini 40 is also finished, just needs flatting and polishing before we refit the badges

Here's a few pics for you as promised...

New front end all trimmed and welded to match the curve of the a-panel, and the doors have been repaired/re skinned, the fibreglass sportspack arches need some serious modifications though as they have contracted when drying and pulled themselves inwards, so have had to be cut and opened up to get the right profile

As for the wheels, they fit better than expected but could do with a 1/2" spacer to fill the arches properly

Yeah thats the black one, just to show how they fill the arches as they are similar, they will probably sit better in the other ones though once fitted, it's not far off from having the bodywork completed, once that's done it'll be into the blasting room, then prepped and painted before being built up :)

Started stripping the next mini down in perpetration for welding, we knew it had oversills on it, and a few rust scabs, but we weren't prepared for what we found...

The bottom half of the car is wet through, soggy and rotten, the front subframe rear mounts are pushing through the toe board, as it's rotted from underneath, the headboard ends are rotten, inner sills rotten, door steps bodged etc etc etc

but as a bonus, we found a transformer toy in the rear pocket lol...

Hello Lewis, I took a look at my car in your workshop on Friday... Happy to see the journey has begun.  Not happy to see the horror underneath the sills.  Anyway - it was expected.  So Ive chatted with Paul...he made a list of bits he will get to things moving.

Hope to see you guys in a few weeks.

No problem mate, I'll get some pics for you this afternoon :) it's going in the blasting room next, to have the engine bay and boot area stripped back. The boot has been converted to internal hinge as well, I'll get pics of that as it's pretty simple but clever how it's been done

Awsome Lewis, yeah I was talking to Paul about the hinges for internal and suggested the bonnet hinges.... Is that what you used?

Yeah we've tried bonnet hinges, but the arc of them isnt great enough, so when the boot lid is opened, the bottom of the bootlid catches the bumper/boot hinge panel, but i think we've sussed it now, ill grab some pics later to show you what i mean
