Right, some idiot. One of 8 previous owners, has ripped the tabs off the heated rear windscreen, obviously this means its not functional! But, can I re-attach them some how, or am I having the worlds most careful drive home from work with a new rear screen...

You can have a go, there are low temperature solders and conductive adhesives out there.

you can buy a repair kit for the rear windows, ive seen it for sale, how good it is i dont know.

I have tinned the connections and done a repair on them fidley but do able.

i used this and recomended it to a fella on here, trust me this works, altho expensive (from the US)

no need for soldering and possably causing damage.

Must be one on ebay, they're not that expensive are they? Not worth messing with I wouldn't of thought

rear screen is toughened glass, thus not liable to easy damage.

If it can't be repaired, buy a used rear window if you can. I got one off ebay for under £10.

For £39 delivered for S/H i'd rather buy new.

I'm gonna try and solder them back on, but we'll see.

As it happens, i got a second hand one for mine (for tinting) and my old repaired one is in my garage that works. as your in Essex you can have it for a tenner
