Will get some main pics when i up with the old girl next.

You can see this maywell need alot of attention. Doesn't seem to be any obvious rusted out area's at the moment, Just a small amount on the passenger door. Engine bay looks a right mess but im sure with some cleaning it'll look much better.

looks like a good project

Thanks. Can't wait to get stuck into it ( will be next weekend before parts arrive )
I forgot to mention we have another full mini as a spare. The spare was a insurance write off ( class b i think ) and most chrome and lights ect are realy tidy.

Well this car has alot of sentimental value to its owner so a full rebuilt/paint will take place. It will stay the original colour 'primula'

Now i must stress i personally have no problem in stripping/fixing vauxhalls but have never been under the bonnet of a mini. Have no idea on carbs either.

We are back up to the car on sat this week to clear the barn and prep shelving ready to strip it :)

Any help would be gratefull along the way :)

UPDATE -

Well off i went back to the barn today. Day was rainy and misrable but thought it would be good to do something! Also the fact my mate ( car owner )had cleaned out the barn, Installed racking for parts storage and was keen to do something :)

After a morning brew i headed off and found a nice clean barn with racking :)

We do have some patching of the walls and roof to do as yet.

This is what it looks like in daylight. What a mess :(

I got my presure washer and snow foam out. Give the old gril a wash to see what we are actually dealing with.

looks like you put rope around it and lifted it with some farm machinary to me.

Its got oversills, so you will probally need inner and outer sills plus floor repairs to repair properly.

Thanks for the comment. I have someone coming to check it tomorrow as they know alittle more then us when it comes to repairs. As the pics above show the floor seems to be in need of some repairs for sure. Just hope we can save it.

I have got pictures of it 'in the air' but i have known people on forums to get funny so didn't bother to load it, But yes we used rope and a tractor to get it about 3 foot off the ground.

those wheels are rather nice

Would love to know what they are :)
