If you install a higher pressure warning switch than stock, do keep one caveat in mind.
A high-mileage engine may have less than 20 PSI of oil pressure when the engine is hot and idling. While having idle oil pressure below 20 PSI is not necessarily ideal, it is also not the end of the world nor does it mean an engine rebuild must be undertaken just yet. Just remember that if the oil pressure warning light comes on at idle you may want to fit a gauge to see what is really going on and determine if any corrective actions are required.

Out of curiosity, how long are the pipes you guys are using? I'm not sure if I need a 4ft or 6ft braided hose. Surely 6ft is a little excessive?
Edit: this is the switch I've got (yet to fit), for those of you who can't find one.

From memory, the plastic pipe included in the mechanical oil pressure gauge was rather long and I ended up coiling it behind the dash so it wouldn't clutter the engine bay. I don't know how long it was in feet though. You may want to measure the approximate dimensions with a piece of string before you buy a bulky and expensive braided hose that is way too long.

out the block, to the wiring loom on the right inside wing, then follow that up, drill a hole in the bulkhead and put a grommet in, then pipe through and striaght to oil pressure gaugeWhere did you guys feed your mechanical pipe through?
