Hey everyone,

Ok I thought I could do this all by myself but no I give up lol!
I'm having issues setting up my amp. to be honest I haven't a clue how
I should set it up and the user guide is useless.

Here's my gear:

Juice JA790 4 channel Amp

Up front:
Pioneer Comps TS-G172CI
Up front in pods on the wheel arches with the tweeters sitting on the upper dash rail pointing in.

On Parcel Shelf:
Pioneer TS-G1731

Here's pics of how I have roughly wired everything up and set.

Currently I am getting sound up front but nothing in the rear.

I'm using a RCA to iPhone connection with a volume control In between.

What am I doing wrong that I don't have sound in back
And when I sort that what setting would you suggest? The modes confuse me and I know nothing about high and low pass etc.

Cheers in advance!

Can't find any listing of a Pioneer TS-G1731, what is it?

Also you only appear to have 1 set of inputs going into 4 outputs, you're missing half your signal.

Does your HU have 2 sets of pre amps (RCA)? If not you'll need some 1F RCA to 2M RCA splitters to send the signal to all channels.

The inputs on the amp, should be a red and white per output channel.

If you have a sub then that channel should be set to LPF and dialed to on the cut off to suit, start halfway and work down until you find the clipping you like. Set the other channels HPF to come in just below that point and switch the X-over the HPF.

Turn bass boost off completely.

For the level adjustment, isolate 1 channel (either unplug the other or use the HU) set the HU to 75% volume, then turn the level dial up until you hear distortion in the music, dial back slightly and you're done. Repeat for the other channel.

Given you have 4 sets of cable coming from your outputs, I'm guessin you have 6x9's *spit* or similar on the back shelf?
In that case I guess set all the X-overs to flat, bass boost and level setting remains the same method.

Can we get a better directly side on shot of the signal in side of the amp.
I need to see all the selectable options.

But basically you are using 4 channels but only putting signal in for 2. On most 4 channle Amos there will be a mode select, 2 or 4.

Sorry that's the best I have. There doesn't seem to be an option to select either 2 or 4 Channel.

I'm not using a sub or a head unit. The iPhone is connected to the amp by way of a RCA cable to dock connector which I've plugged
Into the inputs on amp with a volume control between them.

Your options to provide signal to all your speakers are either;

1) Ditch the rear, practically pointless speakers.

2) Get 2 of these to power signal to all channels:
http://www.maplin.co...ket-cable-29191

3) Still ditch the rear speakers and get a nice little sub instead :P

I'd remove that bass controller from the equation too, it serves no purpose.

You are using 2 channels on the amp, each channel has a left and a right input, 4 cables in total but you only have 2; 1L and 1R.

Plug one of those cables onto each of the cables currently plugged into the amp, giving you 2 outputs for Left and 2 for Right. Meaning you can fill the currently empty input ports, which will give signal to your other speakers.

How about what mode I should set, high low or flat? How should I adjust the
other settings also?

 No worries, dude.

Your results could be varied because you're output from the iPod is really tiny as it'd designed for headphones, a car HU output is normally at least 3v and nearly double on more high spec models. Should at least give you some music in the car though I guess.

Hang on!
Looking at the pic you posted, you have one input in to front left and one in to rear right!??

What speakers are producing sound wired like this?
