How are they connected to the fuel lines? do both lines just run into the original 1 line... and also what about the fuel gauge? 2 fuel gauges?

That's great, yes I just needed confirmation that the short strap is bolted to the floor. The 'ledge' that the tank sits on which is part of the kit is welded or pop riveted to the floor. I have it now. I'll post some instructions for this kit later.
Thanks

They do look pretty cool I must say. I take it though you couldn't fit these on later MPi cars as the screen washer bottle and pump is where the right hand tank would be, unless of course you got a bit creative and relocated the washer bottle. Where would you put it though? Not exactly any room in an already cramped MPi engine bay lol

You have to fill both at the pump

i was wonderin the same actually, because the fuel will take ages to level out as it'll quite litterally bottle neck with the connector pipe, so do you just mirror the filler neck in the body work on the right hand side as well?

Usually you just put the same ammount of fuel in each tank, filling up an 'S' at the station its quite a funny thing to see

just a thought here so dont shoot me, but wouldn't it be a lot easier to fit a bigger cuboid type tank the sort of thing you would see in a kit car, of course you'd loose a lot of boot space but the back seats more usefull than the boot anyway

The second tank is usually fitted for rallying, where there needs to still be space for twin spare wheels and where the regulations often require only homologated tanks, or to increase the touring range where luggage space is needed.
They were much-needed when only a single 5.5 gallon tank was standard and the additional 5.5 gallon tank was eventually an optional extra. An 850 doing c.45 mpg did not need a bigger tank as that was a range od around220 miles and no-one would want to drive more than that distance non-stop in an 850!
