Seriously, listen to the advice above. If he is suggesting plating it, he is a bodge artist no matter where he was trained. Run a mile.

To repair properly, you're talking about an inner wing, flitch panel, wing, door post, A-panel and possibly scuttle and closing panels too. In order to do all that and make good afterwards,

A inner wing includes the flitch panel.

Yes indeed it does, good point! I was getting confused with flitch repair panels there for a minute!

Or bring it to me ;) full on resto from us costs £1600-1800 and that is everything, paint, panels, the lot, no panel is left unchecked!

You can do a full resto for £1800 ?

That sounds too good to be true - I spend the best part of that on panels (dont get trade discount though).

Ah yes, that's well and truly rotten!!!

Did you not get a draughty/wet let whilst driving?

Holy hell thats pretty bad! I would suspect the other side is going to be similar and I would be wanting to check the rear valance, sills, boot floor and heelboards,

Plus the offer from old_skool_lews would be worth considering as its not a small job and worth doing properly

I occasionally got some water but we thought it was coming through a small hole in the floor, but it was meant to be there so we didn't know.

I would have thought that would be something very noticable when the bonnet is up?

Oh wow,
how much do you think this kind of repair would cost?
Of course my car would also need to be trailered. :L

Damage only occurred when he took the wing off or something, like the top bit pinged up, the rest was hidden behind metal.
I think he might of scraped my exhaust on a side not, water is coming out of where it never used to and it's not in the same position
