Its his (yours) mini... Dont just put it back to standard for moneys sake and a good resale value... But dont mod it too much! A 1980's mini is to be modded loads but there is a line with a '59.. A few 'different' adaptations are wicked, as Artful dodger says, do something cool
Restoring it is not for money's sake, solely for sentimental value, he loves his mini and is upset that he hasn't got it back running since he left it in storage all those years ago, but between having me and my brother and looking after the business and everything he has never got around to it.
But now me and my brother are old enough to look after ourselves, with the business doing alright and with me and my brother also able to help it is definately looking like it will be getting looked at sooner rather than later :)
But yes as you said it won't be getting modded further than it is currently, if anything more to standard but still not quite there.

Yes this would be nice, as you cant beat a old mini :)
Turns a few peoples heads when they see the old black metal number plates and realise its a old mini

My advice is to tidy up what you, every mini is an ever evolving history book in themselves. Would love to see those pics though, tidy up, cherish, & enjoy!!
