Short compared to a lot of stuff, even stuff like 911s would be significantly longer. Then think about something like a VW type 2, the cable is nearly 1 1/2 times as long as a mini! As for rear engined buses............Throttle cable's gonna be pretty long!

Ripped apart the spare old front subframe, cleaned all parts etc and built up the new rear front subframe, figured out a front mounting system for it, and fitted a temporary upper mount bar (until i get the roll cage started)
And built up the other 2 swivel hubs with all new ball joints, seals and bearings.

And finally!
My Diff is complete.
I am running a standard mini diff open, lubed with dry chain lube - This is not a track car and i dont expect to be spinning up one wheel a lot so should do the job nicely - I could always swap it for a sealed quaif later on if it proves problematic.
This would have happened quicker, however drilling hardened steel is impossible, so i had to get it spark-eroded.

Having a front subframe in the rear is going to make alignment adjustments rather easy as well.

Seem to have missed this, an interesting project!
One thing I can't help but think though, isn't having the engine mounted above the crownwheel going to put the centre of gravity quite high?
