cheese might suffer in summer, cats licking it etc... will stick with FG for now :-)

yeah thats one reason i went for the v-twin, its not super-powerful (110bhp) but it is torquey and will sound epic.

slow progress the last couple of weeks, a mixture of work, weather, and other things including a house flood...

However its moving forwards, I have acquired a NEW front subframe (it's a Moke subframe) direct from MiniSport for only £117.
I am waiting on some suspension parts and the rollcage at the moment, but hope to have it as a basic roller in the next week, depending on supply and weather.

The wheels arrived, I'm going with 13x7 superlite deepdish, possibly a bit generic, so might have them dark silver powder coated.

Also received the Diff, so need to get the sprocket mounted on that and sealed, then make up a frame to mount it in the rear-front subframe.

Very interesting project!

A little tip I learnt when using glass fibre at college, make sure you wash your hands etc with cold water when you have finished using it. Warm water opens up your pores which will allow particles of glass fibre into them, making you itchey.

Well what a pile of bits!!!!
I'm waiting for some decent weather so i can really get in with this, as my garage is full of my "other car"

I need to say a big thanks to Peter from Fabricage, who i was spec-ing a custom rollcage with, and was extremely helpful and accommodating!
However, on tuesday i was offered a complete safety devices roll cage by a friend who also bought it for a project but never got round to using it, for less than 1/3rd retail - too good to miss.

He is using a VTR1000 engine, perfect for this project. I can't wait to see the finished car.

A little update.

I've rebuilt all 4 swivel hubs with fresh ball joints, bearings and seals, and for the front, I've scrapped the drive shafts, just keeping the outer CV's.
All now fully built up with springs & adjustable height cones.
Freshly rebuilt steering rack with new rod ends and gaiters.
