What people are saying is that a 1994 sprite would have had disc brakes on the front and spaced drums on the back from new, it seems strange that some one has fitted drums at the front and non spacer drums at the back.

I agree but there you have it! I am putting it right. It was done by the same person who put cover sills on I expect.

So - how long should those longer wheel studs be? there are 3 sizes on offer from MiniSpares.

Fair enough, it just sound like some very strange mod have been done. I

I have known some people do it as a cheap way to fit 10's to a car with the 8.4" disc brake set up. There have been a few threads here where people have inquired about doing exactly that.

It's a bit of a false economy though, as those who do it often face a substantial hike in their insurance premium, when they declare to their insurer that they have modified the brakes to a worse setup than was fitted as standard. >_<

It depends on how thick the wheel is were the studs go through.

i think that i would rather have spent £300 or so on a 8.4 to 7.5 conversion kit than put drums on the front!!.................some people really are stupid!!...... :withstupid:
