Hi there,
I've got a 52 plate Mini that I've owned for about 18mths. Just before Christmas my central locking suddenly starting sounding like it was struggling a little bit. I first noticed when pressing the button inside to unlock my passenger door, and it did it, but really slowly and sounded like an effort! When I got home, I was unable to use my fob to lock the car? I had to push the lock down on the passenger, and use the key on the driver door. When I press the button to unlock, the passenger door unlocks and the interior light comes on... (so I know it's not the battery) But the drivers door doesn't open, when I press again it doesn't lock, that's it! This mean I am unable to lock my boot! Because of this I have to remove the small fuse which locks the boot for me, this is obviously a hassle each time so I simply leave it out now.. meaning I am bootless!!
It is a real pain, and it's getting to that point where I need to get it sorted. My mechanic is happy to strip it down and do some testing, but this would obviously take time!! Is anyone familiar with this?
PLEASE HELP
