Anything is possible!
I considered this a dream choice for a bike engine conversion, given the size of it you'll probably be looking at a clubman front and maybe even extending it.
I'd be all over doing it, RWD it too

140 bhp and 150ft/lb of torque should be entertaining, but It looks like it would prove a challenge to fit. Assuming an FF layout.
Its fitted into the bike longitudinally and I doubt it would fit that way in a mini engine bay, so you would have to modify the bay or turn it round through 90degs.
That might have an advantage in that the drive shaft would now be in the same orientation as the mini's front wheels. There would then have to be a diff unit for the front wheels that could be transfered power from the shortened drive shaft, or something. This transfer would also have to sort out the correct ratio.
I can imagine it being one massive project!

i have been toying with the idea for a while
now but as previously mentioned it sounds like
alot of work however before i give up on the dream
i shall measure for clearance to see if fitting it longitudinally
is an option
(you know when you sit there looking at it and you keep telling yourself it looks
like a good fit)
thanks for the replies

the motor itself is quite compact and yes the original plan wasAnything is possible!

for rwd but i have always been concerned about how twitchy a rwd mini would be
due to its short wheelbase

if your got the engine and a spare box. Drop it on top and see what you have to work with. .
anything is possible but its time and money.
