Hi All
Im looking to buy a cheap set of wheels for my mini as the current ones are all rusty.
I have a Mini City E 998, E-reg 1987
What size wheel can i fit on my car, currently i have 12" wheels but i have read that you need to do arch modifications to fit other 12" alloys/wheels.
Can you tell me what will fit or if nothing what i have to do to get some 12" alloys to fit
thanks in advance

Standard alloys should be 5 inches wide If you wanted wider wheels then modification would be needed as long as you stay the same size the style won't matter :)

If you're talking cheap wheels then you'll probably get some Rover Minilites which should fit fine without mods or even arches in most cases

Might be wrong but I would assume any 12" alloys would fit a Mini without spacers/mods providing they don't go over 5.5" wide and have the right stud pattern in the middle?
If you want cheap, go for a Minilite-style wheel e.g. the Rover Cooper alloys like what I have on my Mayfair. These were available as an optional extra on many 80s/90s Minis so they will fit and there are a lot of them about. I got mine for £50 + spent £50 painting them. They are 12x4.5.

If you want cheap, then I have a very cheap set of 12" Rover Minilites for sale in the classifieds section here for just £40. They do need a refurb, but should bolt directly on with no need for arch mods or extended arches etc. http://www.theminifo...-minilites-l40/
