I read on the Nodiz website/forum about the diode pack needed to get a 12v tacho working rather than a 5v tacho. I have a 12v RVC type Smiths tacho, is this a "conversion" which you can carry out so it is within the Nodiz unit? If so, how much extra for this?
Thanks, James

Taken from the forum
"Connor, normally aspirated should use TPS, throttle position, so that would be ok, however, if we can at least 5 orders in, I will be happy to chuck in the optional 21psi MAP sensor for free on all orders for your forum
Matt"
So before I pay is it for free or do we have to pay. I did think at first that the box of tricks had a hole to plumb in the vac hose
Sorry for throwing a spanner in the works.
Cheers. Dean

Yes actually, I said that to Holmsey, please negate the MAP Snsor from the total to be paid, my mistake!
Yes there is a small pipe leaving the NODIZ for fitment of a vacuum line :)
TOTAL LEFT TO PAY : 210.10
Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Just waiting on this Matt, then I will pay in full.
For the likes of Megajolt where it will run at 10* BTDC on the EDIS only (so you can set the basic timing corresponds to what the unit reads), I read with the Nodiz, you set the basic timinig for confirmation at 0* BTDC and need to disconnect the fuel supply to prevent the engine from running. Is there an easier way that you can "confirm" and adjust the basic timing with the engine running with a timing light? Just thought it may be a pain disconnecting the fuel supply as we have a mechanical fuel pump when you turn the engine over?

You can leave the pump connected, just the engine may start up, which isnt an issue really, was more of a 'safety' thing to new users (ie hands under the bonnet on a running engine type thing..
As per driving the 12v tacho, we cant fit the mod in the case, but we do offer a diode kit (£3.99) that will allow you to run a 12v tacho with the NODIZ.
Regards
Matt
