Was not hard to set up at all really. The main unit you have 12v feed, earth, coil A, coil B, cranks sensor and vacuum hose to connect up. The coil A and B go to the coil pack, and you also need a 12v feed to this as well (middle connector). Remember that the Nodiz unit needs a 12v feed whilst cranking....this had me stumped for a few mins

One thing you need to think about is without the standard coil, there is no coil -> starter solenoid wire, so you will also need to trace one of these (ignition live).

Here are a few pictures of the various parts of my install:

I used a Ford Ka coil pack and HT leads. Bought both from Eurocarparts. Couldn't see the point at this stage to buy secondhand. Sourced a proper coil pack connector, and 2 pin junior connector for the crank sensor from PoleVolt.

I'm just running off the base map which was provided on the Nodiz unit at the moment, it is quite a conservative map. The video was the second time the engine was running, first time was the base timing to set TDC, and then the above video - so engine was stone cold and started straight and idled at about 900-1000 nice and smooth with a bit of choke out.

Matt, I've sent you a PM

Matt, did you get my message about getting it mapped?

Also, I've had a play around with the Andriod app on the Mrs' phone, which works fine, but how do you toggle the rpm read out to mph?

James, yes sorry got your PM, been manic here!

You cant do MPH at the moment, as we are working on a better way of doing it as well as displaying fuel level :)

Yes mate, that's the one.

I also used these leads:

I think at the time I bought them, ECP had a 50% off service items, so got them quite cheap, although they seem to always have one promotion on or another!

Also just ordered the coil pack and leads that james recomended. Hopefully tomorrow the cog and sensor will be fitted. But I will probally just get sidetracked with cleaning parts.

all up on running on mine, wouldnt even bother starting on the base map for me lol, after an hour of making a map and then starting it i had a issue with idle but with the idle screw wound in a turn and a half its now running lovely :D pulls a lot stronger and runs smoother too. still need some tweaking
