looks good mate if you can make it like the first picture of the real one on the mini that would be sweet. i think the camper one would be harder to make?

Yeah had a close up of the camper one i just love how its rails go through the wood.

So what you want doing elf or vw ? or maybe a hybrid of both ?

Price would be how ever much thi steel tube cost labour + consumables i.e welding gear & id probable buy then modifie some mounting plates to look 60s work style..

go for the elf mate i think the vw one would look to much. if you can make it bigger length ways?

Full roof elf one it is then.
Makes it fairly easy as its a decent photo.

The bottom bar which you want curved is box section in the elf picture,are you ok with that as it'll make for a stronger load bed.

I'll start looking at steel prices at my local after i,ve sent this plate to ya

Would you like it as a flat pack design for easy storage when you not using it or would you prefer a one piece welded frame ?

yeh thats fine if its the same as that and full roof length thats sound and ile have it as one piece im too lazy to strip it doen and rebuild when come to use it. it will probz stay on the mini once its on.
