1)Do you want it to curve across from side to side ? (matching the roof curve,if possible).
2)Shall the sides & front of the frame curve in like many i have seen ?
3)Are the wooden slats going to be made in two section front to rear or one piece lengths ?
4) What colour or finish do you want the frame in ?
5)How bulky do you want the frame i.e 1/2 inch tube ?

2 keep the sides straight and front and back bottom ones curved around the top straight
3 wooden slats will be long lengths front to back 2 inch gaps in between
4 will be white like my mini with beach wooden slats
5 what would you use round bar i would prefer but as light as you can get it.

Curved bar closest to the roof will be the hardest part of the whole this as i dont have a pipe bender big enough, but the curve is needed so il use are minis roof with some cardboard on the roof & tin foil to pretect the roof against heat as i'll use a blowtorch or similar to get the smooth constant bend needed.
The round bar will be best to use for a 60s style looking.
Also what mounts do you want ? normal roofbar type mounting area or maybe one at the back might look ok ? or suckers ?
Depends on what your carrying.
Mmmm twix
