Recently bought a Sykes Pickavant ACR 2 to use on my MIni SPi.
Connected the harness and using the Rover 3 pod.
I get a message stating 'unable to establish communication'.
I have followed the instructions in the manual, as well as double checked all connections and wiring!
Has anyone encountered this problem? Please point me in the right direction!
The car works fine, so doubt it may be the ECU!
Thanks

Wish I had seen this before posting on the code reader thread. I'm having the same issues but I have been using the green connector...
Back to the garage to try again!

Which pod are you using?

Try hooking your 12V power cable directly to the battery instead of the starter. My Crypton ACT wouldn't communicate until it powered directly from the battery. Something to try.

OK folks, got the reader to work.
Apparently the option I was using was the problem. Strange enough I had to select MEMS 1.6 (<95) for it to work!
