although it looks like a stand-still,.....there is progress!!!!

rod-gear linkage cleaned, re-greased and put in position, gears are engaging, although a little stiff, that will just do me. Bled the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder, all good no leaks. Further today used 'Track-ace' for wheel alignment on MUK and  the Golf Mk1, that took a bit of time but all done.

Tomorrow HUYe will get some attention,... I will put the re-con drive shafts in and will do the alignment on him, might even do the exhaust....

Piccies soon

yesterday I wired all up, connected cooling hoses, and fired him up on choke, a few turns and feck me, Huye is alive.......still need to do the down pipe and back box, but he is close now....

only 1 problem...the heater matrix leaks.....dripdrip....never the less.....he is alive!!!!!

Today I took the heater apart, from 1988 is the heater, looks like new on the outside, checked the matrix and is all good however the rubber O rings between the mating surfaces of the inlet and outlet pipes were perished.......stood still to long.....I put new O rings in and used a good sealant, tighten all the 4 small bolts and squeezed the excess sealant out, now we are waiting for it to dry. test it tmz on day after,if good exhaust will be next....... ;D
