I tried to buy whole thing but they won't sell :/ so it's being broken up parts then turned into tin cans:(

There's a blue mini in a scrappy not far from me, had a big impact on the offside though :( poor thing

Used to love going to the scrapyard on a Saturday morning to mooch at the minis...there used to be loads. Then H&S came in and you couldn't go climbing on / in them yourself :(

+1 on that!

My dad knew a guy owned a scrap yard, I had 3 minis from there which were scrapped but runners. From the age of 11 until I passed my test I rallied these little scrappers up and down the private lane where we lived - soooo much fun and where my passion for minis developed.(Also had an Avenger and a Chevette)

As for parts I could just turn up with a toolbox and get whatever parts I needed to keep them running from other "dead" minis, usually free of charge!

It was the laws about disposal of oils / coolant that closed that yard and I daresay many thousands of others up and down the country but 80's scrap yards were a glorious playground for a young petrol head. :D
