That's gonna cost a fortune to run, especially with fuel, prices going up again. I'll do you a straight swap for a rather tired 998cc with a single HS2 for improved MPG. Save you a fortune :)

Good point, hadn't thought about fuel economy, maybe i should have thought it through better. I'll just have to drive it slowly to save fuel.

It should be going down to KAD this week for running in and tuning. Hopefully it will make good numbers. I will also find out how driveable it will be. The it will be ready to put the last few bits onto and drop into the car. It's been a long process getting this engine and box sorted but i'm sure it'll all be worth it once i see the lap times.

This looks luurvly!

Will be really interesting to see how it goes, looks like an absolute screamer!

Got to say I love the look of your racer as well, really sharp, suits a motor like this to a T.

One question, with the electric water pump, does this add much weight over the standard item? I assume the main benefits are related to constant flow without it spinning to fast when the engine is at high revs? I've never really considered it. seems interesting and could prove useful in the limited space when only the small pulley will fit.

Not sure what i'm doing race wise this year but want to get the car ready to race anyway. As far as the water pump is concerned they are quite light as they use a plastic housing. They are way more efficient than the standard pump due to the fact that there is no water cavitation at high revs. They also pump a lot more water than the standard mechanical pump.

Can I ask how you get the exhuasts so high and tight without hitting the subframe? no subframe? if so what do you use in its place? thanks

Well spotted joyce1bro. To get the exhausts that high you need to modify the subframe. Basically you cut the rear crossbar off the frame, turn it upside down, then weld it back in. It then just gives enough space to get the tail pipes in above the anti roll bar. They have to be that tight up to the body because the twin boxes are quite large and the car runs a very low ride height.
