Re-Veneer A Dash Board

The wood dash in our cooper has got wet and the veneer is lifting

I see on eBay you can buy sheets of veneer, some big enough to cover the old dash in one go

So, could I simply fix/glue the new veneer over the old one or will I need to remove it and possibly damage the dash underneath?

sand it and then glue. Installing veneer is an art though, I had a go for my GCSE woodwork, its fiddly and fustrating usually end up using 50 veneer pins and hitting you thumb with a hammer.

I wrapped mine, ideally I'd have liked to have carbon skinned it, but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out :proud:
