Spent best part of an couple of hours earlier removing my passenger door so I could drill out and weld in a new bolt to replace one of 1/4" UNF pins on the bottom hinge (where it bolts to the wing) that had sheared off at some point before I owned my Mini. All going well, welded the new bolt in cut the head off etc. Great, until about an hour ago when it sheared off again whilst fitting the door back on

Guess you could say it serves me right for being too tight to buy a new hinge

but I like fixing things better!
Only good thing is least my door now fits better and doesnt drop, and the shutlines are slightly better aligned

Reckon the 3 bolts will hold it, afterall it had been like that for god know how many years before today. So I'm very tempted to leave it till September when I plan on taking the door off again anyway to sort some rust at the bottom.
