Unipart 15w40 mineral oil. You can buy it in 5 and 20 litres, cost per litre is way cheaper and it's got the correct compounds for in sump gears and push rod wear.

for spark plugs i use ngk bp6es

With the op asking witch plugs a 1275 spi, they would be wanting the bpr6es. Being as they have built in resistors and are more suited to electronic ignition the spi would be fitted with.

what is the ideal for a carbed 1275 ?

Oh god, this debate.

I'd say 20/50 and get the best oil you can afford..

For 998/1275 on points BP6es and the BPR6es for standard or points replacement electronic ignition.

Also if you look in the newer Haynes, you can use champion RN9YCC for both 998/1275.

Patience and some good gloves..

Dont overtighten the sump plug or you'll crossthread the sump as its an alloy casting.

g
Your spi will have a black module on the side of the dizzy meaning it will be electronic, it will run better on bpr6es plugs.

As for coolant, the old blue stuff is all you need for the cast iron aseries.

And the OP asked for 'the best oil'. That is Valvoline VR1 20w50 now that Kendall 20w50 is NLA in the U.K.
