What a bunch of lightweights!!... Get yourself some thermals ladies and "Man Up"!! You do all drive classic mini's after all, so you really should be used to a bit of discomfort!

I'm so much of a man that I'm already at Brooklands and will be camping here overnight...... (in a centrally heated Premier Inn......obviously!)

EDIT: Oh and I left the mini at home too and came here in the wife's 4x4. It's far to bloody cold to be doing a long run in that thing with all its draughts, poor insulation and crappy little heater!!

Weather update - Saturday 4pm
The Museum was open as usual today and any snow soon disappeared. For updates on the forecast overnight and tomorrow for Mini Day, please check here, but we expect the event to go ahead as planned and we hope as many minis as possible can make it.

I've decided on not going now, too bloody cold!

my common sense says it would have been wise to cancel it but I guess the organisers haven't got anything to lose as the Museum will be open anyway.
I just can't be bothered to do the journey on a very wet M25 with all the spray from the cars, Dartford toll, petrol and 2x10 quid tickets to be stuck indoors. I rather stay at home watching the F1... in the warm!!

some EMC members are still going and meeting 8 o'clock at Lakeside Services.

drive safely!!

The timetable for the day is as follows:
6.30am Get up
7.00am Make coffee and turn on TV
8.00am-9.30am Shout at TV as the wrong cars win race
10.00am Switch off TV as post race stuff is getting boring
Rest of the day spent wondering what Brooklands was like.
8.00pm See if any pictures have been posted on the forum and wish I had jumped in my MINI and gone down because at least it was dry.

Well ladies, for those of you man enough to leave the house today, it's a dry but rather fresh morning down here at Brooklands, with no snow and no frost overnight. So dig out your thermos flask and your long johns and get yourselves down here!
