Hammers are very important


A big one, a small one and a rubber mallet are essential in a workshop!

In the lists above i think an hub puller is missing, useful for rear hubs

an engineers hammer...

hub pullers aren't needed if the car has been maintained ;D

A mirror on a stick
Feeler gauges
Files
Needle files

Bowl or similar to drain oil into
Grease gun
Micrometer for measuring shims
Vernier calipers

Haynes manual and/or Porter Mini Service Guide and Owners Manual are well worth buying.

A listening stick.

or a Long Screw Driver, stick it on the part you think is making a noise give the engine a rev and you'll hear it.
