I'd be looking at some air tools to speed up the process.
A Good Welder, always needed with a Mini....
The Standard tools.
Pry Bars.
Magnets on sticks.
Steel tube, for when you need just a little more leverage.
Cone Compressor.
Big socket set for hub nuts and tower bolts etc.
a rust pile.
lots of spare bolts, they will shear.
Most importantly.
A Tidy work area, no matter what, when you're finished for the evening. Sweep up, wipe it down make sure everything is clean.

Fair oneaxle stands are important, dont work under the car just on a jack

A good set of axel stands i got the draper 2 tonne ones and they go realy high great for exhaust ect
Socket set with imperial sockets
Imperial spanner set best get two sets so you have two of each
Breaker bar and big long pipe such as safold pole great for castle nut on drive shaft
Torque spanner
Ball joint spanner/socket
Grease gun
Mole pliers
Varoius pliers hammers ect
Compresser with air power tools is handy to have be you'll survive with out one
Loads and loads of patience
Oh and most important a big pit to throw your hard earned money into lol
Hope i helped so far im mannaged with all the above tools

Full set of Imperial sockets, half inch drive
A deep 1/2" socket
30" breaker bar
Cross head and flat head screw drivers
I use a trolley jack AND a small scissorjack
Pair of axle stands
Scissor type balljoint splitter
Hammer
Pliers
Mole grips
Cabinet to keep it all tidy in!

axle stands are important, dont work under the car just on a jack
+1 I had a mini fall off the jack while I was under it......was not a pleasant experience
My top tip would be to get yourself a big rug from a charity shop, much better than lying on a cold concrete floor
