got the bmw z3 leather seats today of a mate and look good! heated as well! and they only weigh a very small amount more than my cobra monacos which is sweet!
im bolting the seats to the subframes of my monacos which isnt a problem, only very minimal work, the front holes already line up

Here's my 1993-1996 Mini seats, retrimmed by Newtons. No back ache even after sitting in them for 300 miles.

Surf, did you get the covers and do them yourself or did you send the seats for Newton to do? I have a set the same and wanted them covered. The covers cost enough, let alone paying them to do it on too. Does anyone know how difficult they are to do yourself?
There are some nice seats in here. I'm liking the standard ones the best though.

I sent them away to be done. It takes a couple of weeks for them to be done but they do strip the frames and repaint them.
I've stripped the seats in my Mk2 Traveller before to fit new webs in the bases and restitch some of the seams and it was not that difficult, but then those seat don't have reclining/tipping mechanisms and head rest, so are far easier to strip. Also as I was refitting the old covers they were kind of already stretched. It took me an afternoon to strip and refit two front Mk2 seats.
