noooooo not hudersfield mini spares

Yeah I know............ But paid on credit card, any problems and hey presto cash back.

I sent their rubbish back to them and now need to contact them for a refund, I would rather now spend 100 quid more for same part somewhere else than even think about using them again

Was that the heater matrix they ripped you off on? My problem is that I have looked around and can't see what I want elsewhere. I had grand designs for a bespoke one but it seems the only people who do the, are either dodgy or temporarily out of business. So I thought I would go for the black dash with chrome clock surrounds. I can't find anything similar elsewhere for close to the money they will do it for.

Hi Guys, I am not going to go to great lengths to explain what happened to Nick's order on here. I have the tracking numer for the one off Rokee copy I made for him from scratch and it is being collected by UPS tomorrow / Wednesday. (I forwarded it to Nick on Saturday). I have also included the 2 free savage switches and the one off centre binacle in the box - again free of charge. You are quite correct I have not responed to the barage of foul language on my eMails and voice mails and I have no intention of doing so. My filter sends such offensive language straight to the 'spam' folder. We do trade over eBay as Driveninnovation and no Tamworthbay the name was not changed from minteriors because of bad feedback - 581 feedbacks, but honestly 3 were negative and 2 of those were for delivery time. This was over 2 years ago though, and I am sure one of them was from Avv It. Speaking of which, yes Avv It I cocked up your order nearly 3 years ago. If you want to order your doorcards you can have a 20% discount (for your past experience) and order them through eBay and you can open a dispute, say what you like on my feedback but please be nice, it is 100% positive at the moment. Tamworthbay, I do want to help you get the dashboard / interior that you need (with 6 52mm gauge holes in the centre and a readio console from memory) and the same thing applies as to Avv It, you can leave your feedback on eBay. To say I wasn't interested at the show was a bit harsh - I don't remeber speaking to anyone about a 6 gauge dash in black finish are you sure it was me you spoke to about it? - it was a really busy day and spoke to a lot of people, don't think you introduced yourself to me. "He had a few dashes but they didn't look anything special.", again a bit harsh, made 22,561 dashboards in 16 years along with countless other products - seems there is a market for them? Anyway, said my piece and I am back at the shows this season after a year off for personal problems so if anyone has anything they want to discuss, join me on the stall for a cuppa and a chat - Jay.

I think you have answered a few questions and hopefully will resolve people's problems which is good, as for my comment. I stood on your stall for about 5 minutes looking at the options. There was nobody else there at the time and you were just standing looking the other way. Your body language suggested you weren't interested. Apologies if that is wrong but it is how it came across to both me and my mate. I was in a black fleece and my mate was in a bright red jacket if that helps. As for quality, I had seen pics in your eBay shop and was disappointed by the lack of range on display, perhaps you had less space than usual? The finish on the gloss black one was not the best I have seen - it looked to have small bulges that the shiny finished made really obvious. I was expecting more wow factor. I had heard positive comments about quality but it seemed comparable to others at the show or a bit below, hence the 'nothing special' comment. Don't take this as me having a go, I am trying to be honest and let you know how a customer sees your business. There was nothing that me think 'I want one' and the end of the day I don't need one so need a reason to part with my hard earned cash and the prospect of possible poor service is a major downside. The shame is that I can't see anyone else who will do exactly what I want, but not sure I want to take the risk.......

I completely understand. Gloss black is a difficult finish and after many 'fingers' touching it during the show it does mark easily, I'll be honest. When I am shopping around shows etc there is nothing worse than people coming over with the opening gambit "Can I help you?" and then trying to pressure sell you. I tend to stand on the side and engage with the customer if the interest comes from him first. I was off to a bad start on Sunday with your wariness of us, but don't want you to think I wasn't interested. I got the van stuck down the road from the barn on Saturday morning (in the snow) and couldn't get directly to my stock and had to 'walk' the most important stuff from the barn to the van - hence no signage. If you are at Brooklands in March you will see the 'full' display. Thanks for the reply, sorry I can't help you on this occassion, Jay

Actually no, I did not leave you negative feedback on Ebay following my order, so I am actually another disgruntled customer in addition to those you mention. In my case you were happy to discuss my requirements prior to my order, but as soon as you had my cash I never heard from you again. I left you countless emails and called your number over, and over again but with no response what so ever. I would like to add that at no point did I use foul, or offensive language in any of my communication with you, and nor would I, so please don't be tempted to claim that was the reason for your failure to communicate with me in my case. Eventually I had to open a paypal dispute to get my money back (which incidentally I didn't actually want, what I wanted was the dash I ordered, and you to tell me when I was going to get it!) At that point you had the option of fulfilling my order, or at least communicating with me that it was just merely delayed, thereby ending the dispute, but instead you did nothing!

I've discussed your failings in customer service here with you before though, but yet I still read more and more posts, about how you have let more and more people here down, by taking their money and then failing to communicate with them over delivery delays, to the point that they can only assume that they have been scammed. In your defence, I have always tried to assure people here that you are not the con artist that they fear you are, and that they are merely victims of your poor customer service. Also having seen your workmanship on your stand at various, shows I have always maintained that your workmanship is high quality.

Now whilst I appreciate the offer of a 20% discount on your door cards by way of compensation, I will however politely decline. What I would ask though, is that you do something for every other customer you deal with instead and communicate with them! So that nobody else has to go through what all these people here have had to endure and so that I never have to read, or comment on another thread about this ever again.

All I ask is that you make yourself a list detailing each order that you take and assign each an estimated delivery date. Then if you don't meet that date you email the customer on that date, with an apology and a revised delivery date. That date then gets added to the list as the new delivery date, and if you fail to meet that date as well, then you send them another update email on that date, assign a new delivery date to their order and so on.......That really is all you need to do!!

Just think about it...... no more aggrieved customers leaving you offensive messages, no more paypal disputes, no more negative trader reviews on TMF from people like me and probably more importantly, less of your business going to the likes of "custom consoles" instead, (who incidentally have higher prices and produce products that aren't as good as yours, but do have really good customer service!!)

Maybe not you then, been so long I can't remember, and I also want to say i don't remember you using any foul language, if you read the post, never accused you of it. Don't see what you have to loose on the door cards? Are you just trying to prove a point when you didn't really want them anyway? Come and say 'Hi' at the shows, you have never introduced yourself. Might be nice to have a chat face to face, I would appologise personally to you for your experience with us.

More and more? 2 posts in nearly 3 years - perhaps I may have listened to you afterall? No, you did try to assure peeps that I wasn't a con artist - just called me moron, thank you, I think.......

Happy ending? So everyone has got the stuff that they have paid for then? It doesn't sound like it to me - and it's only then that this should be allowed to drop because he clearly doesn't actually do anything until there's a current threat to his orders and unless this thread or one like it is still popping up in the new posts search that threat goes away.

Really does strike me as another Morspeed in the making - perfectly capable of making a high quality product but falls down when it comes to actually delivering. Given what I've seen on here I suspect that the only reason that there hasn't been more of this type of thing is that the sums of money are generally smaller and some people just write it off and never actually get their parts or their money back.

His responses when he finally appears in the various threads always seem to be the same. He is busy, he is very sorry, he knows he's dropped the ball, he'll do whatever he can to get it sorted, he is having personal problems. He needs to get his act together, deliver what he has already promised and stop promising what he can't or won't deliver.

well i can say after this thread.. jay did deliver my product.

i would like to say that the quality is unreal & what i wanted.

it was me who used found language over email, when i was up for 1000au nearly with the exchange rate i was some what upset & after calling him for a good year emailing him 60 times, i was going mad. what would you do? oh im posting it next week mate & nothing ever come..

it's funny though i paid for all my switches & there was no '''one off centre binacle'' so that is utter bull crap.

the guys does good work, good luck getting it out of him though. pay cash when you pick up and you will be happy ;)

thanks,

Sorry to resurrect this one, but Jay, the seats and doorcards I ordered from you are nearly a month overdue. Truth be told I can actually tolerate that, but what I can't deal with is having NO communication. You aren't responding to my calls and that fills me with dread, the money I've paid you for this job represents a huge chunk of my feeble, student savings. Whilst general consensus on here is that you're not a thief, and your Ebay feedback is positive, I value transparency, and at the moment all you're doing is scaring me into thinking I'm hundreds of pounds out of pocket. If you see this message get in touch immediately, after all, it's just one email/phonecall.

Hi all.

I had a run in with Jay best part of 3 years ago. Exactly the same thing. Order taken and paid for for an 18th birthday present. No sign of it. Wouldn't answer calls or e mails. Fair bit of discussion on this forum. Got totally fed up and said that my next step was to report him to trading standards. Hey presto. Dash appeared very shortly afterwards and obviously in front of other people who had been waiting longer. Everyone says what a nice guy he is but he does like taking money and not delivering and this seems to be a never ending ritual that has been going on for years! I would suggest show organisers take note of the absolutely abysmal service that he offers and refuse him trade stands at shows. Lets face it, it doesn't do show organisers any good to have traders with lousy reputations present as it will only reflect back on their show if people are unhappy. If that happens, then maybe it will give him a bit of time to clear his outstanding orders, and he then might clean his act up a bit if he wants more business. At the best, he is a hopeless organiser, at the worst he is just dishonest and bearing in mind the length of time he has known about these problems.................................!!
