The braided servo pipes are Aeroquip and I made them up myself to suit. I believe Demon Tweeks still sell the end fittings. The advantage is that I can remove the engine without disconnecting the braking hydraulics. I just hang the servo over the RH wing on a blanket and the engine comes out.
The heater hoses are braided hose as requd by the regulations which say that any hoses carrying hot fluids inside the car must be braided metal and must be painted red inside the car.
My stub stacks were crap finish, so I just matched and polished them myself and now they are fine. I don't think I gained any power after fitting them, but it smoothed out the bottom end power, which I then lost when I fitted 1.5:1 rockers!

the brake pipes sound the ideal solution, i,m fed up having to bleed the brakes every time i take the engine out.

Any one know what size the backplate and filter is from the ITG mini setup? Was going to look into buying them from somewhere other than MED.

^^^^ I've got a template of the hif44 backplate and the dimensions of the itg. The backplate would be a simple piece of machining but it has a clip which would be a problem.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether the pipercross foam filter on a replica backplate with the med stub would be comparable in performance with the itg/med set up? Just trying to save a few quid if possible.

Te stubs alone made me 3bhp on the rollers, don't know about the cone filters as I only ran with my itb foam filter

ITG foam filters with MED stub stacks are the best by about 4 or 5 bhp, or so I've read.

They would be my choice.

it was 4-5 bhp on there test 1293 motor. SO if you've got an old knackered 1275 it might not be worth spending the £90+ on an ITG filter kit.  to be honest the air filter really isnt worth the hassle in its own. You wont really notice a think in all likelyhood.
