As the title suggests really.

Twin HS4's going on the car....need to buy air filters......which are best??

And when i say best, i mean which is best for power output....not which looks best or which is fashionable or which sound best.

These are function first...and ideally not the most expensive.

K+N cones were my first thought.

K&N or ITG anything other than the thin pancake filters which restrict air flow work well, K&N used to make a non cone for twins and had more surface area

ITG foam filters with MED stub stacks are the best by about 4 or 5 bhp, or so I've read.

Personally i use ram pipes and socks, but for the best, have a look at med engineering, there should be an induction kit for twin HS4s.
As long as you dont have particular limits in the rallying category, they'll outperform any kind of filter.

Does anywhere other than med sell the med/itg set up? Seems great but is silly money.

MED make the stub stacks so i doubt anyone else sells them....could be wrong?

The filter and backplate can be bought from Demon Tweeks....but they ain't known for being cheap either!

Although it does seem silly money (i agree by the way) but when you price up 2 x K&N filters and a pair of decent stub stcks (not the rubbish ones you see) then you are not too far from the price MED want for their setup.

I think your paying for the machining of those lovely stub stacks, cant be cheap really for materials and time to make it. I'm sure you can buy the itg foam filters elsewhere, just finding the right back plate. There going to be the best flowing tho! Money well spent I think, if you can afford it.

They're braided heater hoses, fia homologation requires all the hoses that runs inside the car to be braided. Any decent rally shop sells them.
