hi guys and girls,

firstly, a very belated happy new year to everyone :)

secondly, i have a small rust hole in the o/s corner of the roof above the a pillar.

i was wondering whether corner repair panels were available or whether i should just knock up a small patch and weld it in?

also, if anyone has done this before (i'm somehow expecting a few) is there anything i should watch out for or any special tips to follow?

cheers fellas and fellesses,

B R

I have done these repairs on my Mini.
I made a patch up for each corner and welded it in, Then gave it a skim of filler.
The filler is the hard bit as its very difficult to get it to look how it should.

Andrew.

Unless you can get your hands on a second hand roof then no you will need to make your own sections as they are not available.

Chop it out and use Second hand roof parts.

Came out virtually invisible and will only need a light skim of filler

There is more rust there than just those holes so you will need to cut that out. If it was just the holes then yes you could fill with weld.
