Well as some of you may know Lulu was sold a while ago. This is where Dad and I come in.
To Get her Home We had to Get the engine running as the battery went flat and repair the clutch slave cylinder . So we put new NGK Spark Plugs in, charged the battery as she started first time.
We bought a slave cylinder repair kit and cleaned the cylinder, stuck it back on and bled the clutch with no leaks .



We then drove Her home And parked it in the drive ... Sideways.


Quite Tight.


Last week We took the carb off and gave it a good clean. We made new gaskets as it is alot cheaper than buying pre made ones.
Yesterday we drained the cooling system and refilled it with new antifreeze.

Probably Lulu, Mine's got a way to go yet . I should be starting driving lessons after this week as I've got exams .

Oh no I wont, I havn't done much on it for a while, But should start next sunday as I've a few jobs to do, Replacing discs and pads on a KA car.

Yeah They are in good nick just need cleaning and I think the driver's one has collapsed.

This made me well up i miss her soooooooooooooooooooo much!

Today we had the afternnon on the mini, Sorting out the oil leak. The main culpret being the gear selector seal.
Go it on the ramps.


Took out the old one



Forgot the rubber boot

And down off the ramps

Refitted the orginal steering wheels.


Then We went out for a little (cramped and rately) drive.

While we were rebuilding the carb we noticed that the choke was slightly out all of the time even though the cable was in, (The cable wasn't that good either, so Dad cut the broken bit of the cable so that it could work, which it does now.) Anyway we thought that it was running a bit sluggish at full throttle because of the choke but when we went out for a drive it was still roughly the same. So Dad did some research which he narrowed down to the stage one kit needle being the wrong one. The one that Minisport sent was a AAV but should be a AAU. You can see the difference between them, I don't think there is much difference between the AAV and the one that is originaly fitted (AAC). Seen Here On the graph mintySUCompareson

So ordered a AAU needle. AAU = Left AAV = Right


Leaky Heater Valve, So took it off and replaced it with the one off my projects engine.

The Left one is the original and the one on the right is the one off of my project.
