Try re setting the dissi drive as it sounds like the same thing mine was doing.

Took me about two weeks to solve a similar problem with grotbag when I put the new engine in, after pretty much replacing the whole of the wiring loom in the front and checking everything, turned out that the dizzy had a bad earth, and was shorting the electrics system.... maybe worth a try and swapping the dizzy. Also check you have the right coil for the ignition system.

sorry been workin all day, is it too late now, or maybe tomoz? my boss said who used to race minis about the spindal, so ive reposistioned that to what it should be and retarded the dizzy abit, got my batterys on charge now so i'll give it ago in an hr,

Position of the dizzy drive is irrelevant unless the dizzy vac unit is fouling the oil switch thus not allowing any adjustment. Its the setting up of the dizzy firing order and advance that is the problem, this has been discussed twice now in this topic.

have tryed it many times aswell in every way thats been said but still not firing
