Since I dismantled the front suspension on my Mini for some new cones. I took it in for MOT 5 months ago where it failed on a snapped and rotten subby. That's the only time it's moved. Today, with the help of a friend, the subby is in, exhaust is on, brakes bled, lights work! It's about ready again! I have missed my Baby so much!

Errrm, not easily. I am on a phone. Have a look and a squeeze, if it's got big holes, makes crunchy noises when you touch it, then its bad! Mine was snapped too! Focus on the front corners near the sills, both sides of mine basically fell off! I miss my Mini!

Looking forward to driving mine, not long! The subframe had a hole in so it's been grinded to bare metal and welded up. The rest got beat with a hammer to see if any more filler was hiding in there and there wasn't so fingers crossed:)

I put a whole subby in. 60quid, not worth the effort of repairing a damaged one. I just have no time to work on it!

Take your time. There are 4 bolts into the sills. These seize in and you have to cut out a chunk of your shell and fit new captive nuts. Loads of wd40, take your time, then regrease when you fit the new bolts!
