Has anyone got the above? i have one on long term borrow, and seeing as its a lot fancier than mine what would the recomended settings be for mini welding?

Its also got a timer, does anyone use that when doing bodywork? did have a play with it and it seemed alright although the wire feed doesnt kick in till its turned up to 6, why might that be? has been in a damp is shed for the last year or two.

Any advice would be great as my welding on minis always looks like pigeon poo!

I don't have that model but I would suggest that if it has been unused for that long the wire and feeder tube probbably have surface rust. Blow through the tube with an airline and scrap any wire which isn't perfectly clean - it should then feed properly.

Have got a Supermig.

Change the liner in the feed tube...they get worn and snag wire.

Also the rollers can wear and they also may need replacing.

And as Bob said, scrap and wire thats been sat and got corrosion on it.
